Associate Professor Benoit Mayer Attended the International Symposium on Security and Environment in Paris

On June 8th, at the invitation of École des hautes études en sciences socials (EHESS), our French faculty member Dr. Benoit Mayer, who recently joined the Institute of International Law , attended the International Symposium on Security and Environment and delivered a keynote speech entitled The implications of the securitization of climate change.

 With reference to the theory of complex interdependence, the associate professor held that countries should conduct long-term cooperation on common environmental issues to offset the effects of climate change to the international security.
