WHU Teacher Participates in the 4th China-EU Innovation Cooperation Dialogue

On April 9, Premier Li Keqiang led a delegation to the Belgian capital Brussels to attend the 21st China-EU Leaders' Meeting. As a member of the Chinese experts group, Professor Chen Chuanfu from the School of Information Management of ouruniversityparticipated in the fourth China-EU Innovation Cooperation Dialogue, which wasone of the supporting activities. Premier Li Keqiang and Chairman of the European Commission Juncker met with the main representatives who participated in the Dialogue and took a group photo.

More than 60 representatives from government departments, scientific research institutions and experts in the field of innovation attended the meeting. The two sides adopted the fourth on China-EU innovation cooperation dialogue joint communiqué.

At the China-Europe Research and Innovation Strategy Partner Symposium before the Dialogue, Chen Chuanfu made a report on the open access to data, which can make science more convenient, and fully exchanged ideas on topics such as open science, open data access, and scientific research infrastructure. He also had some exchange with Wolfgang Burchell, deputy director general of the EU Innovation Directorate, and delivered a concluding speech on behalf of the Chinese side at the Dialogue.
