[Scholar News]School of Economics and Management re-certified by European Quality Improvement System

On March 26th, the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs of European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) held an internal review and vote, and re-certified our School of Economics and Management the EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) for another three-year period.

Previously, the School of Economics and Management was awarded a three-year EQUIS certification in 2016 and applied for re-certification in March 2018. In January 2019, the EQUIS review team visited the School of Economics and Management to conduct on-site certification.

During the three-day on-site certification, the expert group conducted a comprehensive survey of the School's management and development strategies, teaching programs, teachers and students, research, resource allocation, internationalization, corporate contacts, social responsibility and so on.

Experts highly praised Wuhan University's good reputation and profound historical and cultural heritage, and thought highly of the excellent faculty and students, standardized teaching and management as well as high-level alumni resources of the School of Economics and Management.

It is reported that EQUIS certification is one of the three most authoritative international certification systems in the world. It is established by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) and is known for its comprehensiveness and rigor. The European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS), the Association of MBAs (AMBA), and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) are regarded by school of management/business school as the Triple Crown.
