Ding Sixin

                                 

 

Ding Sixin, born in Wuhan, Hubei Province, obtained his doctorate in philosophy from Wuhan University in June 1999, started teaching in the department of philosophy of Wuhan University in July 1999 soon after his graduation. Visiting Scholar of Harvard-Yenching Institute (2002-2003). Professor of both School of Philosophy and School and Chinese Classics of Wuhan University; deputy dean of School and Chinese Classics, Wuhan University, director of the department of philosophy.

He has published 4 academic monographs, over 90 academic papers and reviews on many academic journals, such as Chinese Social Sciences, Philosophy Study,A&HCI journalsetc., and supervised the publications of Ideological Research on Bamboo and Silk Writing of Chu.Received awards: National Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award, third prize of Outstanding Achievements in University Scientific Researches (On Humanities and Social Sciences), first prize of Outstanding Achievements in Social Sciences, Hubei Province. Major research areas and interests: philosophy in Qin and Han dynasties, excavated bamboo and silk writings, and classics concerning the Book of Changes.
