Institute of National Culture Development
Institute of National Culture Development is a research institute of Wuhan University. The Institute boasts 3 national research platforms which were jointly built by the Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Finance and Wuhan University, namely National Center for Cultural Innovation Research (founded in 2009), National Center for Cultural Financial Policy Research (founded in 2011), and Cultural Reform and Development Research Base.
The Institute’s goal is to build an innovative think-tank with Chinese cultural characteristics. It is mainly engaged in the fields of public culture, cultural industry and cultural policy.
It has more than 10 full-time doctoral researchers and over 20 part-time professors. The Center has undertaken more than 50 ministerial and provincial projects and 2 projects supported by the State Key Program of National Social Science of China. Its publications include 20 plus monographs and more than 100 papers on core journals.
Institute of National Culture Development is one of the leading and most influential research institutes on Cultural Industry and open to both domestic and international scholars and students. In addition to taking in visiting scholars, it also runs master and PhD programs on Cultural Industry Management. It is interdisciplinary in nature, which covers a wide range of researches over literary, historical, philosophical, statistical and economic subjects. The Institute is an open and inclusive place for study and research.
