WHU Held the First Rural Revitalization Forum and National Key Research and Development Plan Project Results Release Conference

On June 23, the first Rural Revitalization Forum was held in our university. The forum adopted a combination of both online and offline methods. The theme of the forum was "Agricultural, Commercial, Cultural and Tourism Integration Serving Rural Revitalization -- Mode and Path”, in this forum, the cloud service platform of rural cultural tourism, which was the result of a national key research and development plan project, was also released.

Wu Ping delivered a speech and hoped that the participants would take this forum as an opportunity to further cultivate the villages and help them revitalize the villages.

Wu Jiang introduced the latest progress and achievements of the national key research and development project "Rural Cultural Tourism Cloud Service Technology Integration and Application Demonstration", and announced the official launch of the project result "Happy Hometown" platform. At the launching ceremony, Wu Jiang awarded the licenses to the main operators of the project platform and they took a group photo together.

At the forum, Xin Hongye shared three suggestions from the perspective of multi-dimensional industry thinking, namely innovative industry, innovative culture, and innovative mechanism.

Professor Fu Caiwu of the National Institute of Cultural Development of Wuhan University discussed the role and policy path of cultural and tourism integration in rural revitalization.

Professor He Xuefeng, dean of the School of Sociology at Wuhan University, believes that the focus of rural revitalization is social culture; rural construction should reserve a way for farmers to retreat.

Professor Li Xinjian from the Capital Institute of Culture and Tourism Development, Beijing International Studies University, believes that industrial revitalization is the foundation for rural revitalization, and cultural revitalization is the guarantee.
