WHU hosts the 9th National Network and Information Security Forum

(Correspondent Liang Mingming) From April 16 to 17, the 9th National Network and Information Security Protection Forum (XDef2021) was held in Wuhan. Nearly 600 experts, scholars and young students from the Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Education, Provincial and Municipal Cyberspace Affairs Offices and other relevant departments, enterprises, universities, scientific research institutes, and private security society attended the meeting.

In addition to the main forum, this forum also set up 7 parallel sessions, namely cross forums, Xinchuang forum, advanced threat analysis forum, cybersecurity innovation and entrepreneurship forum, vulnerability competition results exchange forum, cyberattack technology analysis and detection forum, cyberspace security talent training forum, etc. And an exhibition of outstanding works of university student information security competition were held. Well-known experts in cyber security from all over the country gathered in Wuhan to discuss cyber security protection work in China.

Peng Guojun, the executive chairman of the Forum and a professor at the School of CyberSecurity and Engineering of Wuhan University, introduced that the Forum was founded in 2012 and has been held in Wuhan for 9 consecutive times. It has become a brand conference in the field of cyberspace security in China. The mission of the Forum is to promote "dialogue, exchange, and cooperation", featuring "frontier, practicality, and talents", it is committed to promoting close cooperation among domestic cyberspace security forces and striving to build a "political-industry-university-research-application" exchange and cooperation platform in the field of information security in China.
