The 4th Overseas Academic Week: Deepening Dialogue and Exchange, Promoting Mutual Learning between Civilizations

Recently, Wuhan University held the 4thoverseas academic week under the theme of “The Interaction and Protection of Culture and Civilization” in Paris, France.

On the morning of October 15, the opening ceremony of the event was held at the Education Office of the Chinese Embassy in France. Tang Qizhu, Vice President of Wuhan University, said that Wuhan University aims to hold overseas academic week to promote exchanges and mutual learning among different civilizations. The dialogue between China and France has a bright future. The partners of the two countries will further deepen exchanges and cooperation, jointly explore and address the common problems facing the development of human society, and contribute to the advancement of world civilization.

Antoine CAZÉ, Vice President of the Université Paris Diderot (Paris 7), Michelle BUBENICEK, Dean of the Ecole Nationale des Chartes (National Charter School of France), and Laetitia BUCAILLE, Associate Dean of the Institut national des langues et civilisations orientales (French National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilization), delivered speeches respectively. They reviewed the history of in-depth exchanges and close cooperation with Wuhan University. They hope to take this event as an opportunity to further deepen exchanges and cooperation with Wuhan University, form a stable cooperation mechanism, and achieve more cooperation results.
