Wu Junjie: "Behavioral Computing and Financial Technology"

On June 7, 2019, the 100th lecture of the Yangtze River Forum was held at the School of Economics and Management of our University. The lecture was given by Prof. Wu Junjie, a researcher at the School of Economics and Management of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and a young Yangtze River scholar of the Ministry of Education. The theme was “Behavioral Computing and Financial Technology”. Ma Feicheng, Senior Professor of our University and Director of the Information Resources Research Center, attended the lecture.

Professor Wu Junjie first introduced the basic concepts of behavioral computing. In an evolving world, human behavior has predictable patterns, and the predictability of human mobile behavior is as high as 93%. Therefore, it is theoretically feasible to use human cognition and prediction of human behavior through calculation. Professor Wu Junjie cited four cases, for instance, guessing how much wealth a person owns through his or her personal communication network, to show the latest research results and applications of behavioral computing, and he also showed his own research on user sentiment using Weibo data.

Professor Wu Junjie has long been engaged in data mining and machine learning research, and has rich applications in social, urban, financial computing and other fields.
