[Academic News] Center for Studies of Media Development held the Comparative Communication Study International Symposium in Australia

From October 1st to 3rd, 2018, the Comparative Communication Study International Symposium, jointly organized by the Center for Studies of Media Development of Wuhan University and Deakin University in Australia, was successfully held in Melbourne, Australia.

The Symposium was held for 3 days, and nearly 50 researchers from China and Australia had an in-depth discussion around such topics as brand communication, culture and art in cross-cultural vision, multiculturalism, cultural crafts and creativity, and cross-cultural topics in higher education and so on.

On October 5th, the delegation visited the University of Melbourne and exchanged ideas on personnel training and cooperation research with Associate Professor Gao Jia from the Institute of Asian Studies, also Assistant Dean of the School of Literature of the University of Melbourne, and reached a preliminary cooperation intention. The two sides jointly stated that they will further promote scientific research cooperation, doctoral student exchanges, and teacher exchange visits.
