[Academic News] Professor Xiong Wei is Appointed a Member of the Permanent Scientific Committee of the International Finance Association

From September 2nd to September 6th, 2018, the 72nd Annual Global Conference of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) was held in Seoul, South Korea. During the meeting, the IFA General Council unanimously agreed to the Executive Committee's proposal to appoint Professor Xiong Wei of Wuhan University School of Law as a member of the Permanent Scientific Committee for a term of two years and a maximum of three consecutive terms.

Founded in 1938 and headquartered in The Hague, the Netherlands, the International Finance Association (IFA) is the only non-governmental international organization dealing with fiscal and taxation issues. It is dedicated to promoting international fiscal law and comparative fiscal law research, with expertise in international tax law research, and the above goals are achieved primarily through its global annual conference, professional publication and academic research. As a non-profit organization, IFA provides a neutral and independent platform where representatives of all parties can discuss international tax law issues at the highest level.
