[Scholar News] Scholars from School of Law Attended the 2018 Internet Security Conference

From September 4th to 6th,2018, the "2018 ISC Internet Security Conference" was held at the Beijing National Convention Center. Nearly 300 experts and 40,000 practitioners from the global cybersecurity field attended the conference and discussedtopics such ascyberspace conflictand governance,industry network security constructionetc. As a co-organizer, the Network Governance Institute of our university participated in the organization of the “Network Security Governance Forum”.

Professor Huang Zhixiong, Deputy Dean of the School of Law, was invited to be the moderator of the “International Governance of Cyberspace”session. Associate Professor Ye Xiaoqin and Lecturer Wang Defuparticipated in the discussion of the“New Cybercrime Prevention”session and“Data Governanceand Compliance”sessionrespectively, and theyexpressed their opinionsregarding the issues andcountermeasuresrelated tocriminal law of cybercrimeandpersonal information protection.

The ISC Internet Security Conference is a world-class cybersecurity conference jointly organized by the Cyberspace Administration of China and other governmental organizations. It was first launched in 2013 and has been held successfully for five times so far. It has now become the highest-profile and largest cybersecurity event in the Asia-Pacific region with an attendance of participants coming from nearly 20 countries.
