WHU Open Access English Journal Data and Information Management was Launched Officially

Sponsored by Wuhan University School of Information Management and Center for Studies of Information Resources, and published by the internationally well-known academic publishing groupDe Gruyter, the English journalData and Information Management(ISSN 2543-9251) was officially launched in 2017 September.

The journal relies on the first-class research advantage of Wuhan University and the integrated publishing platform of De Gruyter, aiming to become a specialized, high quality and international open access journal, so as to promote data-driven cross-disciplinary information management research.

Data and Information Managementfocuses on theoretical and technological innovations related to data and information management, as well as related large-scale data sets and their management issues, hoping to guide and encourage authors to conduct data-driven interdisciplinary and comprehensive research by

integrating information science, management science and computer science. This journal takes information technology/process, management and society as an important dimension with an emphasis on scientific data, government data and business data, it covers scientific research management, public management and enterprise management as well as other fields, trying to provide effective theoretical support and decision support to academic institutions, government departments and enterprise management.

Prof. Ma Feicheng, a Senior Professor of Humanities and Social Sciences of Wuhan University, and Gary Marchionini, professor of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, work as the editor-in-chief of the journal, and the editorial board includes 16 well-known overseas scholars from Europe, America and Asia as well as a dozen of well-known domestic scholars from Peking University, Tsinghua University, Wuhan University and so on.

Data and Information Managementis issued four times a year, each containing five papers. In order to encourage academic exchange and dissemination, this journal will use the Open Access publishing model advocated by current academic journals so as to provide readers with full text and provide a full range of value-added services and diversified incentive policies to authors. In addition to enjoying quality peer review and editing service, highly integrated publishing platform and efficient network dissemination, the author will publish paper free of charge, and authors will receive royalties once their papers are accepted by the organizers. In addition, six outstanding papers will be selected and rewarded in the first year based on the quality of the paper.
