The Seminar on China's Economic Transformation from the Perspective of Ecological Progress was Successfully Held in Wuhan University

From September 22 to 24, 2017, Wuhan University held a "Seminar on China's Economic Transformation from the Perspective of Ecological Progress". More than 60 people from over 20 colleges and universities as well as large enterprises, banks, financial institutions, and government departments attended the meeting. Participants had exchanges and discussions on issues such as China's population transition and urbanization development, the transformation of China's industrial economy and the development of green finance, the development of China's resources and environmental economy.

Professor Liu Chuanjiang, Director of the Center for Population, Resource and Environmental Economy of the Wuhan University, presided over the opening ceremony of the meeting. After the opening ceremony, all the delegates took a group photo.

The meeting is divided into three parts: keynote report, conference speeches and free discussion.

In the first part, Professor Liu Chuanjiang of Wuhan University delivered a speech entitled "Ecological Economy Perspective of the Ecological Development", and guided us to rethink the economic theory and economic development from the era of industrial progress to the era of ecological progress, and put forward that ecological development calls for transformation of economic development paradigm. Representatives from universities and business also made relevant speeches.

During the speeches and free discussion sessions of the conference, delegates actively expressed their views and feelings on the theme of the conference by sharing their own learning and work experience, which provided a new perspective and thought for the transformation of China's economy from the perspective of ecological civilization.
