【Academic Achievements】The First Academic Work on Network Sovereignty Led by WHU was Published

On Cyber Sovereignty - Jurisprudence, Policy and Practice, a book edited by Huang Zhixiong, Deputy Director of the Wuhan University Institute of International Law and Distinguished Wuhan University Professor, was recently published by the Social Science Academic Press, and it is the first academic book on the issue of network sovereignty.

This book is one of the research results of a 2016 National Social Science Fund major project "Research on China’s Participation in International Cyberspace Rule Making". Huang Zhixiong is the project chief expert. The book is the result of cooperative effort made by 12 network space management experts from Peking University, Renmin University of China, Beijing University of

Posts and Telecommunications, Wuhan University, China International Institute for strategic Society, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, Shanghai Institute for International Studies and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Department of Treaty and Law. This book discusses in an in-depth manner the legal, policy and practical issues related to network sovereignty from legal, international relations (international politics), public policy perspectives, filling the gaps of domestic and foreign academic research on the network sovereignty.

At the same time, the book is also the first academic work of the "Cyberspace International Law Series" planned and launched by the Wuhan University Institute of International Law.
