Annual Academic Conference of the China Society of International Law was Held in WHU

On May 6th, the 2017 Annual Academic Meeting of the China Society of International Law was held in our university. The theme was "The Development of the Times and the Development of International Law: China's Contribution", it has attracted the attendance of more than 480 experts, scholars and practitioners from universities, research institutions and law firms who are engaged in international law research.

Han Jin, Party Secretary of Wuhan University, expressed that as a key research base of Humanities and Social Sciences under the Ministry of Education, Wuhan University International Law Institute looks forward to work hand in hand with the China Society of International Law for more extensive cooperation and work together to promote international law research and new development in humanities and social science at large. Huang Jin, President of China University of Political Science and Law, talked about the rule of law, training of law personnel, legal education and law discipline construction and so on.

China Society of International Law was established in 1980, which was supervised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This annual conference was sponsored by China Society of International Law and organized by Wuhan University.

During the meeting, the participants exchanged views on a series of topics such as public international law, private international law and international economic law in the form of conference reports and symposiums, providing solid international law support for the country to carry out and participate in global governance under the new situation.
