Scholars Gathered to Discuss Asian Competition Law

 

   

    On November 28, the 2015 Asian Competition Association Annual Conference and the Asian Competition Law Forum were convened. More than 60 experts and scholars from China, Japan, South Korea and Hong Kong gathered at Wuhan University to explore some cutting-edge issues of competition law, exchange their ideas on law enforcement, and seek common progress and mutual understanding of different national competition policies.

 

   

    During the keynote speech session, participants discussed around the theme of Antitrust and Competition Law Enforcement, introduced the competition policies of different countries and the current situation of competition law enforcement. The keynote speeches include Law Enforcement in Antitrust by the National Development and Reform Commission, Law Enforcement of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, Relevant Work of the Anti-monopoly Bureau in 2015, Development of the Latest Law Enforcement of the Korea Fair Trade Commission, Latest Development of the Japanese Competition Policy and Law Enforcement, etc. 

 

   

    During the academic discussion session, scholars focused on such topics as Latest Developments of Cartel Regulation, Development Trend of the Abuse of Market Dominance Regulation, Difficult Problems in Operators Centralized Control.

 

   

    The meeting was hosted by the Asian Competition Association, organized by the Wuhan University Competition Law and Competition Policy Research Center, and co-organized by the Tianfeng Securities Co., Ltd., Wuhan Federation of Social Science, Wuhan Economic Law Research Society, Competition Law Research under the Hubei Law Society.
